
Biharsharif: Dr Sunil Kumar, Bihar’s Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change and local MLA from Biharsharif, laid the foundation stone for a series of eco-tourism projects worth Rs 2.64 crore aimed at upgrading Hiranya Parvat Park and its surrounding areas.
Speaking at the inauguration, the minister said the project would transform Hiranya Parvat into a “vibrant and attractive tourist destination” that would generate employment and stimulate the local economy. The scheme, under the Eco-Tourism and Park Development initiative, will include construction of new stairways, a cafeteria, fountains, an open gym, a canteen, and world-class sanitation facilities, linking Hiranya Parvat with the nearby Shiva temple.
The minister also performed a ritual puja at the temple and planted saplings to promote environmental conservation. He announced that similar development work would soon commence at Surya Mandir in Sohsarai and at Baba Maniram Akhara in Asha Nagar.
During the programme, Dr Kumar interacted with residents, listened to their grievances, and assured them of timely redressal. “Solving the problems of the people of our constituency is my first priority,” he stated.
The event saw the presence of officials from the forest department, senior BJP functionaries, and a large number of local residents. Among the prominent attendees were Dr Ashutosh Kumar, Amresh Kumar, Bheshnath Prasad, Dhananjay Kumar, Neeraj Kumar W, Vipin Kumar, Bhushan Prasad, Avinash Kumar, Amit Shan Singh, Sunny Kumar, Naval Yadav and Ravi Kumar.
