Bihar: NEET Paper Leak Accused Sanjeev Kumar Suspended from Horticulture College Post

Patna Police Arrest 5, Including 3 Medical Students, in NEET Paper Leak Case

Nalanda: The noose is tightening on Sanjeev Kumar, also known as Sanjeev Mukhiya, who is accused in the NEET paper leak case in Bihar and has been absconding. Sanjeev, who has been evading police arrest, has been suspended from his post as Technical Assistant at Horticulture College, Nursarai, Nalanda.

Sanjeev Kumar had been absent from the college without informing for two months. In response, the Director Administration of Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour, Bhagalpur, took action by suspending him. Additionally, during his suspension, Sanjeev has been ordered to serve at the Horticulture Research Center in Kishanganj.

Previously, the administration of Horticulture College, Nursarai, Nalanda had issued warnings to Sanjeev Mukhiya, urging him to appear in the office by placing advertisements in newspapers. Despite these warnings, Sanjeev remained absconding, citing illness as the reason for his absence.

The administration had initially directed Sanjeev to report to the college by sending notifications to his address in Yarpur Valwa village, under the Nagarnausa police station. Sanjeev had requested leave from May 6 to June 5, 2024, but failed to return to the college office thereafter.

Multiple warnings were sent to Sanjeev, urging him to appear in the office, but he did not comply. As a result, disciplinary action has now been taken against him. Given the seriousness of the allegations, preparations are also being made to dismiss him from service permanently.

Sanjeev Kumar has a history of fraudulent activities. He had been suspended previously while on deputation at Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour, Bhagalpur, where he was accused of malpractice. Despite being employed at the college for nearly one and a half decades, Sanjeev has consistently failed to fulfill his duties, officials said.
