Patna: In a significant crackdown on crime, Bihar’s Special Task Force (STF) has prevented 16 major criminal incidents, including 11 planned murders, over the past three months. The STF’s proactive operations from December 2024 to February 2025 led to the arrest of several criminals before they could execute their plans, showcasing the force’s efficiency in tackling organized crime.

According to data from the Police Headquarters, STF thwarted four major crimes in December, five in January, and seven in February. These included cases of murder attempts, armed robbery, and dacoity, ensuring that criminal elements were neutralized before they could strike.

Intelligence-Driven Crackdown

The STF attributes its success to a combination of intelligence gathering, public cooperation, and advanced technological surveillance. A dedicated team actively monitors known criminals and gang members, analyzing their movements and intercepting their communications. This meticulous approach has led to the prevention of multiple serious crimes.
