Bihar Team Departs for Senior East Zone Softball Championship in Kolkata

Patna: The Bihar team for the Senior East Zone Men and Women Softball Championship, scheduled to take place in Cooch Behar, Kolkata, from November 29 to December 1, was announced today by President Gautam Kanodia. The team departed for Kolkata on November 28 after receiving congratulations and blessings from LJP (Ram Vilas) Sports Cell Bihar State President Rupak Kumar and MLA Arun Sinha.
Vice President of the Softball Association of Bihar, Sanjay Kumar, Treasurer Pawan Kumar Pappu, and other association members also extended their best wishes to the players. General Secretary Prachi Sharma confirmed that Monu Kumar will captain the men’s team, while Shivli Kumari will lead the women’s team.
The men’s team consists of 16 players: Monu Kumar (Captain), Aditya, Umang, Sanjeet, Ankit, Mohd. Shariq, Ayush, Manjeet, Gaurav, Amarjeet, Tushar, Rahul, Harsh Jha, Atul Kumar Singh, Kashib, and Shariq. Pramod Kumar will serve as the coach and team manager.
The women’s team includes 11 players: Shivli Kumari (Captain), Jagriti, Alisha, Pooja, Rupa, Neha Thakur, Reesha, Arohi, Saloni, Tia Sharma, and Twivasa Sharma. Ruby Kumari will manage the women’s team.
The association expressed confidence in the team’s preparation and hopes for an excellent performance in the championship.
