Bihar to Recruit 80,000 Teachers Ahead of Elections, Announces Deputy CM
Patna: In a significant pre-election move, Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary has confirmed that the state will soon recruit 80,000 teachers. The recruitment process, set to begin shortly, was announced by Choudhary in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter).
The announcement, made by the Nitish Kumar-led government, comes as part of the Teacher Recruitment Examination 4 (TRE-4) initiative. Under the plan, the state aims to appoint teachers across 75,000 schools, with a target of over 700,000 teachers in total. The recruitment will also address 21,397 vacant positions left unfilled under the previous TRE-3 process.
Choudhary encouraged young candidates to prepare for the recruitment drive, stating, “80,000 teachers will be recruited again in Bihar! Youth, study hard, as the NDA government is providing ample opportunities for employment.”
The move is seen as part of the government’s efforts to bolster educational infrastructure ahead of the upcoming state elections.
