Bihar Tourism Department Releases New Year Diary and Calendar
Patna: The Tourism Department of Bihar released its New Year Diary, Calendar, and Table Calendar in a program organized at the Tourism Directorate auditorium in the Chief Secretariat. The event was attended by Tourism and Industry Minister Nitish Mishra, Tourism Secretary Lokesh Kumar Singh, BSTDC Managing Director Nand Kishore, and Tourism Director Vinay Kumar Rai.
Speaking on the occasion, Nitish Mishra highlighted Bihar’s immense potential for development in religious and eco-tourism. He emphasized the ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure around key tourist destinations and make Bihar a safer, more accessible, and well-equipped state for visitors. The minister stated that the state boasts rich forests, safaris, history, and heritage, being the birthplace of figures like Buddha, Mahavira, and Mother Sita.
Mishra also shared the department’s vision to enhance branding of Bihar’s tourist attractions to increase awareness and attract more visitors. He noted that the focus is on ensuring tourists extend their stay in the state, which will contribute to creating more employment opportunities for local residents.
Officials and employees of the Tourism Department were present at the event, reinforcing the department’s commitment to boosting tourism in Bihar through better facilities and strategic development initiatives.
