Bihar Tourism Department Showcases State’s Rich Cultural Heritage at Mid Wicket Stories Event in Mumbai
Patna: In a bid to spotlight Bihar’s thriving tourism industry, the Tourism Department made a appearance at the Mid Wicket Stories event held in Mumbai. Representing the department, Abhijeet Kumar, General Manager (GM) of the Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation (BSTDC) shed light on the state’s monumental efforts in bolstering its tourism sector.
During the event, the BSTDC GM emphasized the multifaceted allure of Bihar, boasting not only religious and spiritual attractions but also a rich heritage intertwined with its natural environment, all of which have been drawing a significant number of tourists.
“Bihar has already welcomed over 5 crore tourists, and the tourism department remains steadfast in its endeavors to amplify this figure further. With a focus on enhancing infrastructure, the tourism department has curated comprehensive tour packages, including the Ramayana circuit, Buddha circuit, Jain circuit, and Sikh circuit, which have garnered considerable interest among tourists,” he said, affirming the department’s commitment to continuous improvement in these offerings.
The event also witnessed former Indian cricket team spinner Harbhajan Singh and renowned West Indies batsman Chris Gayle advocating for Bihar’s tourism potential, further underscoring the captivating appeal of the state. In recognition of his contributions, the BSTDC GM was honored during the event by the esteemed cricket personalities.
Reflecting on the event, the BSTDC GM expressed his delight at the overwhelming interest displayed by the attendees towards Bihar tourism, highlighting their expressed eagerness to visit the state.
