Bihar Weather Update: Rising Temperatures Ahead of Holi, Mercury to Cross 35°C

Patna: With Holi approaching, temperatures across Bihar are steadily rising, accompanied by clear skies due to westerly winds. The maximum temperature in most parts of the state is expected to range between 32°C and 36°C from March 13 to 15, while minimum temperatures may hover between 18°C and 21°C, according to the Meteorological Center, Patna.
On Holi, the mercury is expected to cross 35°C in several regions, with surface winds blowing at 15-30 km per hour in parts of the state. Some areas may also experience gusty winds reaching 30 km per hour.
Weather Outlook for Patna and Nearby Areas
The weather in Patna and its surroundings is likely to remain clear on March 15-16, with partly cloudy skies at certain places. The temperature rise has been noticeable, with Patna recording a minimum temperature of 20.3°C on Wednesday, while Banka recorded the lowest temperature in the state at 15.3°C.
Temperature Surges in Multiple Cities
On March 12, 25 cities, including Patna, witnessed an increase in minimum temperatures due to prevailing westerly winds. The maximum temperature in Khagaria reached 36.2°C, the highest in the state, while Patna recorded a high of 34°C, exceeding the normal by 2.4°C.
Except for Forbesganj and Kishanganj, most parts of the state reported temperatures above normal.
