Bihar Weather Update: Yellow Alert Issued for Hailstorm and Thunderstorms in Four Districts

Thunderstorms, Rain and Gusty Winds Likely in Parts of Bihar From April 7–10

Patna: Weather conditions across Bihar have shifted noticeably due to the influence of a low-pressure area over the southwest and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal. This system has been moving northwestwards, accompanied by a cyclonic circulation over northeast Jharkhand and a trough extending from East Bihar to North Telangana.

As a result of these developments, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for isolated hailstorms, gusty winds, and thunderstorms in Kishanganj, Araria, Purnia, and Supaul districts. There is also a likelihood of lightning accompanied by strong winds in parts of north-central, north-east, and south-east Bihar over the next 24 hours.

Thunderstorms and Humid Conditions in Patna
