Bihar’s Road Construction Department Finalizes 2024-25 Work Plan

Patna: The Road Construction Department’s annual work plan for 2024-25 is in its final stage, according to Deputy Chief Minister cum Road Construction Minister Vijay Sinha. The plan is being prepared based on recommendations received from public representatives, and the funds required for construction projects will be assessed accordingly.
During a presentation led by Secretary of the Road Construction Department, Dr. Sandeep Kumar R. Pudkalkati, and Special Secretary Shirshat Kapil Ashok, the department reviewed the proposed projects before Sinha. The Deputy Chief Minister directed officials to review the recommendations, finalize the work plan within a week, and expedite the approval process for the schemes.
Sinha emphasized the state government’s commitment to improving road infrastructure and bringing it up to national standards. The selected projects for the upcoming year will focus on developing a robust road network across the state. Officials have also been tasked with identifying various sources of funds for these projects, submitting a report on funding possibilities within the week.
Additionally, Sinha prioritized the need for repairing damaged roads and bridges, especially in flood-affected districts, before the upcoming festival season. Ensuring smooth traffic flow and efficient transportation for residents remains a top priority for the government.
