BIPARD Hosts Mission Karmayogi Workshop to Strengthen Civil Servants’ Training

Gaya: The Bihar Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development (BIPARD) in Gaya hosted a successful one-day ‘Mission Karmayogi Workshop for Central Training Institutes, State Administrative Training Institutes & State Governments’ on January 7, 2025, in collaboration with the Capacity Building Commission (CBC). The workshop saw the participation of 57 delegates, including representatives from the Central Government, Central Training Institutes, State Training Institutes, and senior officials from 17 states across India.

The event was inaugurated by Adil Zainulbhai, Chairman of the Capacity Building Commission, with notable attendees such as Dr. R. Balasubramaniam, Member, CBC, and Dr. Alka Mittal, Member, CBC. Senior officers including Vikram Kapur, Additional Chief Secretary of Tamil Nadu, K.K. Pathak, Additional Chief Secretary and Director General of BIPARD, and B. Rajender, Additional Chief Secretary of Bihar, also attended the workshop.

Discussions at the workshop included various aspects of Mission Karmayogi, such as the Karmayogi Competency Model, the development of courses for IGoT and digital learning, and the approach to training for urban local bodies and panchayats. Participants also shared their experiences and challenges in delivering effective training programs.

Mission Karmayogi, launched by the Prime Minister, aims to transform civil servants by focusing on role-based public service delivery, enhancing skills for efficient governance, and promoting continuous learning. Bihar’s achievement in leading the country in IGOT Mission Karmayogi registrations demonstrates the state’s commitment to improving governance through capacity building and training innovation.

This workshop highlighted BIPARD’s role in fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange, strengthening the framework for citizen-centric governance in India.
