
Patna: A girl was injured in a low-intensity bomb blast following a late-night altercation between two groups in the Bakarganj area of Patna on Saturday. The incident took place in Kamaru Pasi Gali under the jurisdiction of Pirbihore police station.
According to police sources, the clash escalated during the night, resulting in a bomb being hurled by one of the groups. The explosion, though brief, startled residents in the vicinity. The injured girl was immediately taken to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) for treatment.
Police teams from Pirbihore station arrived at the scene shortly after the incident and brought the situation under control. Town ASP Diksha also visited the area and reviewed the circumstances surrounding the clash.
Authorities have initiated an investigation, including analysis of CCTV footage from the area to identify those involved. “Strict action will be taken against the individuals responsible,” an official said.
While there was momentary concern among residents, police presence has been increased to maintain calm. Further details on the condition of the injured girl are awaited.
