
Patna: A bomb threat email sent to Patna Airport on Thursday night created fear among airport officials and security staff. The email was received at 9:09 pm on the official email ID of the airport director. It was sent from pk_nawas@outlook.com and checked by the team at 9:50 pm.
Soon after getting the email, the airport authorities held an emergency meeting to check the seriousness of the threat. The Bomb Threat Assessment Committee (BTAC) meeting was called at 10:05 pm in the conference hall of Patna Airport’s administrative building. The committee included senior officers, security experts, and bomb detection staff who discussed the details of the threat.
After investigating and assessing the email carefully, the committee declared it as a non-specific threat by 11 pm. This means there was no real danger found but the matter was taken seriously to keep everyone safe. Security staff remained on alert and checked all important areas to ensure the safety of passengers and employees.
All important departments and stakeholders were informed about the incident. Airport officials have said that security measures have been strengthened and cyber teams are looking into the source of the email. They also said strict action will be taken against the sender to stop such fake threats in future.
