BPSC 70th PT Re-Exam Results Likely by January End, Mains in April
Patna: The re-exam for the Bihar Public Service Commission’s (BPSC) 70th Preliminary Test (PT), which was canceled on December 13 following disruptions at Patna’s Bapu Center, was conducted peacefully on Saturday. Students exiting the exam halls remarked that the questions were “very easy.”
The re-exam took place across 22 centers in Patna and was conducted in a single shift from 12 pm to 2 pm, with entry beginning at 9:30 am. The process was overseen by strict administrative and security measures to avoid any further disturbances.
Speaking on the examination timeline, BPSC Chairman Parmar Ravi Manubhai said, “The results of the 70th PT re-exam are expected to be released in the last week of January. Following that, the Mains examination will be held in April.”
Meanwhile, District Magistrate Chandrashekhar visited one of the centers during the exam and addressed the ongoing protest led by Prashant Kishore. “Action will be taken against Prashant Kishore after the re-exam. He cannot hold a protest in a public space, as the court has prohibited this. We have issued him a written notice, yet he continues to remain at the site,” the DM said.
Kishore has been staging a sit-in at Gandhi Maidan since Thursday in support of the BPSC candidates, demanding systemic reforms and accountability in the examination process. His hunger strike entered its third day on Saturday.
