BPSC Students Meet Bihar Chief Secretary, Demand Action Within 48 Hours

Patna: A delegation of BPSC students met the Chief Secretary of Bihar to discuss their demand for a re-examination and other issues. The students reported that the Chief Secretary listened to their concerns seriously and assured them that any decision would be taken in their best interest. While the Secretary did not explicitly agree or refuse their demands, he promised a thorough review of the situation.

Former DG R.K. Mishra accompanied the students during the meeting and stated that the Chief Secretary assured an investigation into all incidents raised by the students. The delegation also expressed their desire to meet the Chief Minister, who was reportedly out of Patna but expected to return soon.

The meeting followed a student parliament organized near the Gandhi statue in Gandhi Maidan on December 29, led by Prashant Kishore. A five-member core committee was formed to spearhead the student movement. Kishore has warned the Bihar government that it has 48 hours to resolve the issue.

He stated that if no favorable decision is taken by January 1, students will begin a sit-in protest on January 2 and may also seek legal recourse. The agitation aims to ensure justice for BPSC students and accountability for the grievances they have raised.
