CBI Files Second Chargesheet in NEET Paper Leak Case, Six Accused Named

Ranchi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a second chargesheet in the ongoing NEET paper leak case, naming six accused individuals.

The chargesheet was submitted in a special court under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including Section 120-B (criminal conspiracy), Section 109 (abetment), Section 409 (criminal breach of trust), Section 420 (cheating), and Section 380 (theft).

The accused named in the second chargesheet include:
– Dr. Ahsanul Haque, Principal of Oasis School, Hazaribagh
– Imtiaz Alam, Vice-Principal of Oasis School and Center Superintendent
– Jamaluddin alias Jamal, a journalist
– Baldev Kumar alias Chintu
– Sunny Kumar
– Aman Kumar Singh

The case will now be transferred to the special court under the Prevention of Corruption Act. Special Judicial Magistrate ordered that all records be sent to the court of Special Judge Sunil Kumar Singh, following a CBI application for the case transfer.

Earlier, on August 1, 2024, the CBI filed its first chargesheet against 13 accused individuals in connection with the NEET paper leak. A total of 48 people have been arrested so far in the case, and the investigation continues, with more names likely to surface.

The CBI has also identified beneficiaries of the leaked paper and has shared the details with the National Testing Agency (NTA) for further action against the accused candidates.
