Patna: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the results for Class 10, with a national pass percentage of 93.66% this year — a marginal rise of 0.06 percentage points over 2024.

According to official data, 2,385,079 students had registered for the exams held between February 15 and March 18, with 2,371,939 appearing and 2,221,636 successfully passing.

Region-wise performance reveals stark disparities. Patna zone, which includes Bihar and Jharkhand, reported a pass percentage of 92.24%, placing it among the lower-performing regions. Guwahati was the only region with a lower pass rate, at 84.14%. Southern regions such as Trivandrum, Vijayawada, and Bengaluru dominated the charts with pass percentages nearing 100%.

The results come around an hour after Class 12 outcomes were declared, where Patna recorded a pass rate of 88.84%, again falling short of the national average.
