Chaos in Bihar Assembly: Proceedings Adjourned, No Session on March 28

Patna : The ongoing budget session of the Bihar Legislative Assembly descended into chaos on Wednesday as opposition members disrupted proceedings during Question Hour, forcing Speaker Nand Kishore Yadav to adjourn the House. The Speaker’s repeated requests for order were ignored as opposition MLAs stormed the well of the House, chanting slogans and refusing to back down.
The commotion began shortly after Question Hour commenced, with opposition members attempting to raise their concerns. However, Speaker Yadav deemed their actions inappropriate and urged them to maintain decorum. His appeals, including a direct request to senior MLA Mehboob Alam, went unheeded as the opposition persisted with their protests.
As the ruckus intensified, the Speaker warned the protesting MLAs against overturning the table, cautioning that disciplinary action would be taken. Despite the warning, the opposition continued their demonstrations, prompting Yadav to adjourn the House.
In a separate development, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary introduced a proposal to cancel the House proceedings scheduled for March 28. The proposal was passed with a majority, effectively concluding the budget session a day earlier, on March 27.
