Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar Participates in Navratri Celebrations, Offers Prayers at Temples
PATNA — Chief Minister Nitish Kumar marked the auspicious occasion of Maha Ashtami during the Navratri festival with a series of temple visits and prayers on Sunday.
The Chief Minister first visited Shitala Mata Temple in Agamkuon in the morning, followed by a visit to the Badi Patandevi Temple located in Patna City. He concluded his temple tour with a stop at the Chhoti Patandevi temple, where he offered heartfelt prayers.
Amid the serene surroundings of these sacred places, priests chanted mantras and performed rituals to honor the Chief Minister. In return, he sought blessings and expressed his wishes for the well-being and progress of the state, extending his greetings to Goddess Shitala Devi and the Badi and Chhoti Patandevi.
The Chief Minister further visited the revered Shri Shri Badi Devi Ji and Shri Shri Dalhaduta Devi Ji temples in Maroofganj. He participated in worship ceremonies dedicated to Goddess Bhagwati Durga.
In a display of reverence, Marufganj Marwari Seva Samiti presented CM Shri Nitish with an Angavastra and a symbolic token.
Among those present during the religious festivities were Finance, Commerce, and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Kaushal Kishore Mishra, member of the Bihar State Disaster Management Authority, and Chief Minister’s Additional Advisor Manish Kumar Verma. Senior officials who accompanied the CM included officer Special Duty (OSD) to CM Gopal Singh, District Magistrate Chandrashekhar Singh, and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rajeev Mishra.
