Chirag Paswan Hosts Grand Iftar, Governor Arif Mohammad Khan and CM Nitish Kumar Attend

Patna: Thousands of Muslims from across Bihar gathered at the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) headquarters at Patna’s airport road for an Iftar hosted by party chief Chirag Paswan during the holy month of Ramzan. The event saw the participation of key political figures from the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA), in what appeared to be a strategic outreach to the state’s Muslim community ahead of the upcoming elections.
Among the prominent leaders in attendance were Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, and several ministers from the Bihar government, including Mangal Pandey, Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Sheela Mandal, Maheshwar Hazari, Lesi Singh, and Ashok Choudhary. Also present were HAM (Secular) national president Santosh Kumar Suman, JD (U) state spokesperson Umesh Kushwaha, and Patna mayor Sita Sahu.
Chirag welcomed the guests by draping them in a chaadar and cap, a traditional gesture of respect. The gathering, attended by hundreds of party officials and district leaders, was seen as an effort to reinforce the Ganga-Jamuni tehzeeb, a symbol of communal harmony in Bihar’s political landscape.
The LJP (Ram Vilas) leadership, including National Minority Cell President Kunwar Asim Khan, State President Raju Tiwari, and key functionaries such as Dr. Shahnawaz Ahmed Kaifi, Satyanand Sharma, Hulas Pandey, Arvind Singh, Ved Prakash Pandey, and several others, marked their presence at the event.
