Chirag Paswan Urges Bihar Govt to Fix Crumbling Roads and Waterlogging in His Hajipur Constituency

Patna: Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) national president and Union Minister Chirag Paswan has written to Bihar’s Urban Development and Housing Minister Jibesh Kumar, urging urgent action to address the deteriorating condition of roads and persistent waterlogging in Hajipur.
In the letter, Chirag highlighted the severe inconvenience caused to residents due to pothole-ridden roads and inadequate drainage in the city and surrounding areas. With the monsoon intensifying, he warned, the situation could worsen, posing serious risks to daily commuters, schoolchildren, patients, and local businesses.
“The condition of roads in Hajipur city and adjoining areas is extremely poor. During the rainy season, waterlogging and potholes are making the roads dangerous and impassable,” Chirag wrote. “This is not just a matter of inconvenience—it is a threat to public safety and a hurdle in everyday life.”
Chirag called on the Bihar government to ensure immediate repair and reconstruction of the roads and to implement a long-term drainage solution to prevent recurrent flooding. He also urged regular monitoring by the Municipal Council and concerned agencies to guarantee sustainable infrastructure improvements.
“Hajipur is a key city in Bihar and deserves adequate infrastructure. Continued neglect is unacceptable,” he stated, appealing to Minister Jibesh Kumar for prompt and decisive intervention.
