Chirag Paswan’s Security Upgraded to Z Category After Father’s Statue Vandalized in Gaya
Patna: The Union Home Ministry has enhanced the security of Chirag Paswan, the Hajipur MP, and National President of LJP (Ram Vilas). Previously under Z category security provided by SSB commandos, Paswan will now be protected by CRPF personnel. The decision comes following the recent vandalism of his late father Ram Vilas Paswan’s statue in Gaya.
A total of 33 security personnel will be deployed for Paswan’s protection under the revised Z security arrangement. This includes 10 Army Static Guards stationed at his residence, six round-the-clock Personal Security Officers (PSOs), 12 armed commandos working in three shifts, two watchers, and three trained drivers on constant duty.
The upgrade in security was prompted after unknown miscreants damaged the statue of Ram Vilas Paswan two days ago. The statue, located in the Atri assembly constituency of Gaya, had both hands broken and its face defaced. The incident has sparked outrage among LJP (Ram Vilas) leaders, with many alleging a political conspiracy behind the act.
A case has been registered in Neemchak Bathani, and district police are actively investigating the matter. Two years ago, Chirag Paswan himself unveiled the statue of his late father in Bathani Tola.
