Patna: Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP) has achieved 100% placement for its 16th PGDM batch (2023–25), continuing its consistent record of student employability even amid subdued hiring across Indian B-schools.
The institute announced the milestone on Tuesday, crediting the feat to its industry-aligned curriculum, faculty support, and growing recruiter confidence. Over 50 reputed companies participated in this year’s placement drive, the highest ever for the institute, with 35+ making offers and 20+ joining as first-time recruiters.
The highest cost-to-company (CTC) offered stood at Rs 16.42 lakh per annum, while the average CTC was Rs 6.68 lakh and the median at Rs 6.50 lakh. Notably, the top 25% of the batch secured an average package of Rs 9.08 lakh, with the top 50% and 75% averaging Rs 8.31 lakh and Rs 7.50 lakh respectively.
Despite global economic uncertainty and slowed campus hiring at several premier institutions, CIMP managed to place all 116 students—81 men and 35 women—from varied academic backgrounds including commerce, engineering, science, and the arts.
Director of CIMP, Prof Dr Rana Singh, called the achievement “not just about numbers, but about impact.” He added, “Our students have not only secured jobs but have done so with diversity and direction. This reflects the hard work of our students, the dedication of faculty and staff, and the trust placed in us by our recruiters.”
Prof Vibhash Kumar, Chairperson of Placements, highlighted the repeat hiring by several recruiters as a key endorsement of the talent nurtured at CIMP. “We’re especially proud of the industry’s continued trust, as well as the expansion of our recruiter base with companies like Adani Wilmar, Grand Thornton Bharat, ICA-Pidilite, and Swiggy joining us this year,” he said.
Kumar added that CIMP plans to introduce new electives aligned with evolving industry needs and expand its corporate network to further enhance placement outcomes.
Chief Administrative Officer Kumod Kumar praised the students for upholding the institute’s placement record in a volatile hiring season. “Our commitment to developing future-ready professionals has remained strong,” he said, announcing a new international collaboration with Georgia Tech University to set up a joint study centre at the CIMP campus.
CIMP, established to create socially responsible and industry-ready professionals, continues to build its reputation as a rising B-school from Bihar with strong national relevance.
