CIMP to Host Second Edition of IDE Bootcamp, Fostering Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Patna: Chandragupt Institute of Management, Patna (CIMP) is set to host the second phase of the prestigious IDE Bootcamp Second Edition from February 17 to 21. The initiative, backed by the Ministry of Education, AICTE, and the Innovation Cell (MIC), aims to equip student innovators across India with skills in innovation, design, and entrepreneurship.
The national-level inauguration on February 17 at 12:00 PM will be led virtually by AICTE Chairman Prof. T. G. Sitharam from AICTE headquarters in New Delhi. The event will be streamed live on official social media platforms. At CIMP, the inauguration will feature Nikhil Dhanraj Nippanikar, Director of Handloom & Sericulture, Department of Industries, as the chief guest.
Since its launch in June 2023, the IDE Bootcamp has trained over 7,000 student innovators and faculty mentors through 35 bootcamps nationwide. This marks the second time CIMP is hosting the initiative, having previously organized the first edition for the Bihar region.
The upcoming five-day event will see over 250 student innovators and Innovation Ambassadors from higher education institutions across India, including students from Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, participating in hands-on training. Key modules will cover design thinking, business model development, prototype-to-market strategies, financial literacy, intellectual property rights, and startup funding.
Professor (Dr.) Rana Singh, Director of CIMP, highlighted the institute’s commitment to fostering entrepreneurship: “Hosting the IDE Bootcamp at CIMP for the second time is a testament to our dedication to innovation. This training will empower students to transform their ideas into impactful ventures, aligning with our vision of nurturing future leaders.”
Kumod Kumar, Chief Administrative Officer at CIMP, added: “The IDE Bootcamp will not only enhance students’ entrepreneurial skills but also contribute to India’s broader innovation ecosystem. We are proud to collaborate with AICTE and other institutions to ensure its success.”
CIMP, through its incubation centre, CIMP-BIIF, has played a key role in fostering startups in Bihar. The IDE Bootcamp aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of positioning India as a global leader in innovation by empowering young entrepreneurs.
