CM Nitish Kumar Announces Key Infrastructure Projects for Siwan District

Patna: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has outlined several development initiatives to address ongoing issues in Siwan district. To alleviate traffic congestion, the construction of the Siwan bypass between NH 227 and NH 531 has been approved. Additionally, the widening of the Hussainganj road from Andar Dhala has been planned to address severe traffic jams in the area.

Further, the Mouniya Baba Mela will be granted the status of a state fair, providing better facilities for the visitors attending the century-old event. A new ROB will be built at Siswan Dhala, and a grid sub-station will be established in Mairwa to improve the region’s power infrastructure.

A modern auditorium will be constructed in Siwan to facilitate large-scale events. Also, the Bhantapokhra-Jiradei path, especially near Jamapur Bazaar, will undergo widening and strengthening, which will improve access to Dr. Rajendra Prasad’s birthplace.

In addition, the 55 km-long Manjhi-Darouli-Ghuthni road will be widened by 10 meters. Approach roads will also be developed to improve connectivity with the two bridges constructed by Uttar Pradesh over the Ghaghra river. Nitish Kumar assured that all these projects will be executed, and any further needs in Siwan will also be addressed.

He added that development work is happening rapidly across Bihar, and future work will proceed even faster.
