CM Nitish Kumar Slams RJD MLCs for Wearing Green T-Shirts in Bihar Legislative Council Protest

Patna : The Bihar Legislative Council witnessed heated scenes on Tuesday after RJD MLCs arrived wearing green T-shirts to protest over the inclusion of reservation in the Ninth Schedule. Their unusual attire triggered an angry response from Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who dismissed the demonstration as “bogus” and directed sharp remarks at RJD leader Rabri Devi.

As the House convened, RJD members, clad in green T-shirts with slogans, rushed to the well of the Council, demanding that reservations be incorporated into the Ninth Schedule of the Constitution. Their aggressive protest drew a strong reaction from the Chief Minister, who stood up and lashed out at the opposition.

“This is all bogus. Have you seen anything like this anywhere? What does this mean?” Kumar said, visibly agitated by the RJD’s display. He went on to single out Rabri Devi, suggesting that she had little control over her party’s actions. “The party belongs to her husband. What does she know? This poor woman was brought in when he was removed. Does any of this make sense? They keep doing these things. Have you seen anything like this happening in any other party?” he remarked.

CM Nitish further criticised the RJD’s decision to wear green T-shirts, questioning the significance of the protest. “They have put on T-shirts with something written on them, but this is all meaningless. Has anyone seen such behaviour in any other part of the country?” he asked.
