Patna: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s announcements made during the Pragati Yatra in northern Bihar have received approval from the cabinet in the meeting held on Tuesday, ensuring their implementation at the ground level. A total of 188 projects worth Rs. 20,000 crore have been sanctioned, with 121 projects approved by the cabinet and 67 at the departmental level.

According to Additional Chief Secretary of the Cabinet Secretariat Department, Dr. S. Siddharth, the cabinet had previously approved 39 agenda items related to the Pragati Yatra. In today’s meeting, an additional 82 projects were sanctioned, bringing the total cabinet-approved projects to 121.

The cabinet has approved Rs. 495.12 crore for five projects under the Urban Development and Housing Department, Rs. 64.69 crore for two projects under the Rural Works Department, Rs. 344.01 crore for seven projects under the Tourism Department, Rs. 663.61 crore for four projects under the Energy Department, Rs. 3,645.67 crore for 12 projects under the Water Resources Department, Rs. 862.34 crore for two projects under the Health Department, Rs. 56.8 crore for one project under the Education Department, and Rs. 42.37 crore for one project under the Cabinet Secretariat Department. Additionally, Rs. 153.89 crore has been allocated for three projects under the Sports Department, Rs. 6,577.38 crore for 42 projects under the Road Construction Department, and Rs. 236.25 crore for one project under the Industries Department.

Furthermore, one project each has been sanctioned under the Prohibition, Excise & Registration Department and the Revenue & Land Reforms Department. In the previous cabinet meeting, 39 projects related to the progress tour had already received approval.
