CNG and Electric Buses to Begin Operations on Atal and Ganga Path in Patna

Patna: City buses powered by CNG and electricity will soon begin operating on the Atal Path and Ganga Path in Patna. These buses will run daily between Kangan Ghat and R Block, providing a scenic route along Marine Drive. According to Transport Secretary Sanjay Kumar Agarwal, the service is expected to start within the next 15 days, offering residents a more efficient, jam-free travel option.

The introduction of buses on these new routes aims to reduce traffic congestion in the city, ease commutes for those traveling to and from major hospitals such as PMCH, and improve accessibility for daily travelers. This initiative is expected to decrease reliance on private vehicles, enhancing road safety and reducing traffic jams.

In addition to the practical benefits, passengers will be able to enjoy picturesque views of Marine Drive along the route, which connects several key points in the city. The eco-friendly CNG and electric buses are also expected to help lower pollution levels in Patna.

The new bus routes are set to improve both traffic management and the tourism sector, as they will provide easy access to Ganga Ghats, Gandhi Maidan, and other historical landmarks, further boosting local tourism and economic activity.
