Cold Weather to Begin in Bihar After October 20, Humid Heat to Persist Until Then
Patna: The monsoon has officially withdrawn from Bihar, and while the weather will remain dry across the state, residents can expect relief from the heat after October 20, according to the Meteorological Center. Until then, humid heat will continue to affect the region during the day.
Currently, the state’s minimum temperature is hovering between 24 and 26 degrees Celsius, while the maximum is between 32 and 34 degrees Celsius. No significant changes in temperature are expected over the next 4 to 5 days, though light cloud cover is anticipated in many districts. Nights may start feeling slightly cooler as the temperature gradually decreases.
The Meteorological Center has also forecast light rain in some southeastern districts of the state around October 18 or 19. However, how cold the winter will be this year depends on the activity of the western disturbance, which was inactive last year, leading to a milder December.
In key districts, the maximum temperatures are: Begusarai at 34.4°C, Patna at 30.2°C, Gaya at 30.8°C, and Bhagalpur at 31.5°C. Other districts, such as Muzaffarpur and Chhapra, recorded 29°C and 31.3°C, respectively.
