Congress's 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' Concludes in Mumbai, Tejashwi Yadav Highlights National Concerns

Patna/ Mumbai: The Congress’s ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ reached its culmination in Mumbai, Maharashtra, with a massive gathering at Shivaji Park on Sunday evening. The event was attended by prominent leaders including Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, and Dipankar Bhattacharya, National General Secretary of the Marxist Communist Party (ML).

In his address, Tejashwi underscored the significance of Rahul Gandhi’s nationwide tour, emphasizing its role in conveying pertinent messages amidst what he described as a climate of propaganda and governmental interference. He voiced concerns over the perceived threats to democracy and constitutional values, accusing the current administration of resorting to intimidation tactics.

Tejashwi articulated the party’s stance, stating that their battle transcends individual politicians such as Prime Minister Narendra Modi or Union Home Minister Amit Shah, focusing instead on combating divisive ideologies. He criticized what he perceived as false patriotism, highlighting issues of unemployment, inflation, and poverty as the real enemies confronting the nation.

Regarding his father and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad’s health, Tejashwi assured that despite medical restrictions on travel, Lalu remained committed to challenging the ruling establishment. He rallied against what he termed as the BJP’s misinformation campaign, urging people to reject their tactics.

Before departing for Mumbai, Tejashwi expressed confidence in Bihar’s forthcoming elections, hinting at potential resolutions regarding seat-sharing arrangements within the state. He addressed concerns over reservation policies and criticized the central government’s alleged neglect of Bihar’s development needs.

The issue of seat allocation within the Grand Alliance, comprising the RJD and Congress, remains unresolved. However, Tejashwi affirmed his party’s determination to secure favorable outcomes in the upcoming polls.

Addressing the issue of recent controversies surrounding the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) teacher recruitment exams, Tejashwi highlighted his administration’s track record of transparency and efficiency, contrasting it with allegations of malpractice under BJP-led governments.

The event in Mumbai served as a platform for the Congress and its allies to reaffirm their commitment to social justice and national unity, setting the stage for forthcoming political engagements in Bihar and beyond.
