Cooch Bihar Trophy: Rajasthan’s Parth Yadav Scores Double Century as Match with Bihar Ends in Draw

Patna: The Cooch Bihar Trophy Under-19 Men’s Cricket match between Bihar and Rajasthan ended in a draw, with Bihar securing three points for leading in the first innings, while Rajasthan earned one point. The match was played at the Moinul Haque Stadium, where Bihar posted 467 runs in their first innings, and Rajasthan managed 182 runs before being forced to follow on. In their second innings, Bihar scored 410/5 in 137.5 overs before both teams mutually agreed to end the match after tea.
Rajasthan’s Parth Yadav was the standout performer, scoring an unbeaten 200 runs in the second innings, while captain Toshit contributed 126 runs. For Bihar, Deepesh Gupta remained not out at 183, and Prithvi Raj scored 128 runs.
In a historic feat, Bihar’s Suman Kumar claimed all ten wickets in Rajasthan’s first innings, setting a new record. Rajasthan’s Aabhas Shrimali took five wickets for his side. On the fourth day, Rajasthan resumed their second innings at 173/2, with Parth and Toshit leading a patient partnership of 253 runs. Following Toshit’s dismissal by Aditya Raj, Parth continued to build momentum, partnering with Mohit Bhagtani for an 86-run stand.
Parth completed his double century in 441 balls, hitting 28 fours and one six. This marks his second double century of the season. Bihar’s bowling attack was led by Aditya Raj, who took 3 wickets for 145 runs, while Suman Kumar claimed 1 wicket for 88 runs, and Agastya took 1 wicket for 30 runs. Suman Kumar finished with a total of 11 wickets in the match.
Bihar’s next match is scheduled against Maharashtra in Aurangabad on December 6, while Rajasthan will face Assam in Jaipur.
