Masaurhi: A cricket tournament in Koriawa Garh village of Masaurhi turned violent on Friday night. The final match was being played between Sonkukra and Imalia Kadirganj teams. After Imalia Kadirganj won the match and took the trophy, players of the losing team Sonkukra accused them of cheating. Soon, a heated argument started with the organisers.

During this fight, 42-year-old Satyendra Kumar tried to calm everyone down. But one of the young men pulled out a gun and shot him. Satyendra, who lived in Koriawa Garh village, died on the spot. People in the village are shocked by this sudden death during what should have been a happy event.

Sadly, this is not the first time such violence has happened during cricket matches in Bihar. In May this year, a young man named Mohammad Ishtiaq was shot three times in Sahebpur Kamal West village, Begusarai district. He was watching a local cricket match when he had a small argument with some people. The fight became serious, and bike-borne men shot him. He was badly injured and had to be treated in a private hospital.

Police are now investigating both these cases. Locals are demanding strict action against those who bring guns to such events and turn games meant for fun into scenes of crime and fear.
