Darbhanga Flight Chaos: Passengers Stranded as SpiceJet Cancels Mumbai Route Amid Chhath Puja Prep

Darbhanga – Passengers at Darbhanga Airport faced disruptions on Friday when the scheduled SpiceJet flight SG 116 to Mumbai at 4:30 pm was canceled, leaving about 160 passengers stranded. In response, the airline arranged alternative transportation, sending the affected passengers to Patna in four buses, assuring them that a subsequent flight to Mumbai would depart at 8:15 pm.

The airline covered the expenses, including fare and meals, for transporting passengers from Darbhanga to Patna. The cancellation was attributed to adverse weather conditions. Another SpiceJet flight, SG-115 from Mumbai to Darbhanga, scheduled to arrive at 3:55 pm, was also canceled, redirecting approximately 180 passengers to deboard in Patna instead of Darbhanga. Affected passengers were given the option to rebook due to the flight cancellations. SpiceJet has faced similar flight cancellations in the past.
