The inauguration, attended by dignitaries such as Revenue and Land Reforms Minister Alok Mehta, Art Culture Minister Jitendra Kumar Rai, and Labor Resources Minister Surendra Ram, will also feature a cultural program by the Bollywood singer Shraddha Pandit’s team, renowned for the hit song “Sasural Genda Phool.”
The entire fair period will be adorned with cultural programs at the specially constructed cultural pandal. Tourism Secretary Abhay Kumar Singh highlighted the department’s extensive preparations to ensure the grandeur of the Sonpur Mela. A cultural pandal and an art and craft village have been established in the fair area, and a temporary tourist information center with deployed tourist guides is now operational.

For an immersive experience, the tourism department has curated a couple tour package (one night and two days) priced at Rs 6000 for two persons, providing an Etios AC vehicle, overnight stay, tourist guide, meals, and more. Additionally, a one-day special tour package, catering to the convenience of common tourists, is available from 12 noon to 7 pm.
This package, ranging from Rs 900 to Rs 1300 per person, includes vehicle transportation, a trained guide, snacks, and water, with the opportunity to explore the Sonepur Mela and Harihar Nath Temple.
