East Central Railway GM Inspects Patliputra–Motihari Rail Section, Reviews Station Redevelopment and Safety Measures

East Central Railway’s General Manager, Chhatrasal Singh, on Saturday inspected the Patliputra–Motihari rail section, reviewing safety measures, station redevelopment projects, and key railway works in East Champaran.

Patna: Chhatrasal Singh, General Manager of East Central Railway, conducted a detailed inspection of the Patliputra–Muzaffarpur–Bapudham Motihari rail section on Saturday, assessing passenger amenities, safety infrastructure and progress on key projects along the route.

During the inspection, Singh reviewed various aspects of railway operations, including tracks, overhead equipment, signalling systems and station facilities, with a particular focus on safety.

At Muzaffarpur station, Singh inspected the new station building and circulating area, and reviewed the ongoing redevelopment under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. The revamped station is set to feature modern amenities and a contemporary design aimed at improving passenger experience. He was accompanied by Sonpur Divisional Railway Manager Vivek Bhushan Sood and other senior officials.

The inspection continued at Bapudham Motihari station, where Singh attended a meeting chaired by local MP Radha Mohan Singh to discuss railway projects within the East Champaran constituency. Following the discussions, the General Manager undertook a window trailing inspection of the Bapudham Motihari–Samastipur section, accompanied by Samastipur Divisional Railway Manager Vinay Srivastava and other officials.

Railway authorities emphasised that safety and timely project completion remain key priorities for the East Central Railway zone.
