East Central Railway Women Welfare Organization Celebrates International Women’s Day

Patna: The East Central Railway Women Welfare Organization, Hajipur, marked International Women’s Day on March 19 with a celebration at the Patliputra Railway Parisar in Digha. The event was inaugurated by the organization’s president, Sunita Singh, along with other members, who lit a ceremonial lamp.

Artists from Hajipur headquarters and various railway divisions performed cultural programs, which were well received by the audience.

As part of the celebrations, 21 women railway employees were honoured for their outstanding work. The awards, selected by Sunita Singh, included certificates and gifts. Among them, Pinky Kumari, a pointsman from the Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Division, received a special award. She had also been recognized earlier at a function held by the Railway Women Welfare Central Organization in New Delhi.

The event was attended by the organization’s vice president, Ranjana Kumar, secretary, Meenakshi Kumar, treasurer, Archana Chaudhary, joint secretary, Priyanka Singh, and other members.
