ED Seizes Amit Katyal's Property Worth Rs 56 Lakh in Land for Job Case, Brother Arrested

Patna: In a significant move, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has seized property worth Rs 56 lakh belonging to M/s Krish Realtech Private Limited, owned by CA Amit Katyal, a close associate of RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav, in connection with the Land for Job case. The action follows a raid on October 18, which uncovered Rs 35 lakh in cash and documents related to several properties.

On October 19, Amit Katyal’s brother, Rajesh Katyal, was arrested, and the court placed him under a 7-day remand with the ED. Amit, meanwhile, remains out on bail. Earlier, in March, the ED conducted raids at multiple locations in Haryana, recovering documents indicating foreign investments worth Rs 200 crore.

Rajesh Katyal is accused of transferring Rs 400 crore abroad through shell companies, and documents related to a St. Kitts bank account were also found. The brothers are engaged in the real estate business and are under investigation for money laundering, based on FIRs from the Economic Offenses Wing in Gurugram and Delhi.

The case comes shortly after all nine accused, including members of the Lalu family, were granted bail by the Delhi Rouse Avenue Court in the Land for Job case. The court has scheduled the next hearing for October 25.
