ED Summons Lalu and Tejashwi Yadav to Delhi for Questioning in Land-for-Job Case
PATNA – The resurgence of the land-for-job scams is likely to create complications for RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued summonses to Lalu Prasad Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav for questioning in connection with the job scam involving land exchange.
Both have been called for separate interrogations at the ED’s office in Delhi. Earlier, the ED carried out raids at properties linked to Lalu’s family and several close associates. Tejashwi is scheduled for questioning on December 22, while Lalu Prasad Yadav is set to appear for questioning on December 27, as reported by media sources.
Meanwhile, a hearing in Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court occurred on Wednesday, addressing applications filed by Lalu Yadav, Rabri Devi, Tejashwi Yadav, and other accused. The court sought a response from the CBI regarding the application, demanding the availability of documents along with the complaint letter.
The next hearing in the case is slated for January 6, 2024, following the directives of Special Judge Vishal Gomane and in response to the pleas of eight accused.
