Education ACS Dr S Siddharth said teaching is a responsibility to build future generations, during his inspection of minority schools in Nawada district on July 13

Patna: Teaching is not merely a government job from 9 am to 4 pm, but a responsibility to shape the future of coming generations, Additional Chief Secretary of the Education Department Dr S Siddharth said on Sunday. During his visit to minority community schools in Akbarpur block of Nawada district, he urged teachers to perform their duties with full dedication and hard work.

Addressing a programme organised by the teachers, Dr. Siddharth listened to their concerns and assured them of timely solutions. Responding to issues related to transfers, he said all teachers have received postings according to their preferences, and those still facing problems can submit applications for further consideration.

During his visit, Dr. Siddharth sat on school benches to interact directly with teachers. On his way back to Patna, he stopped at a roadside dhaba near Bakhtiyarpur turn, where he brewed tea and baked litti with the shopkeeper before continuing his journey.

The Additional Chief Secretary also inspected madrasas operating around the minority schools. Minority schools remain closed on Fridays, while educational activities continue as usual on Sundays.
