Fake Certificate Scandal: Four Teachers Dismissed in Samastipur Crackdown

Bihar Teachers Can Apply for Transfers Online from 1-15 December

SAMASTIPUR – In a major crackdown on fraudulent practices, four teachers in the Dalsinghsarai were dismissed from their positions after being reinstated on fake certificates. The decisive action was taken by the planning unit, with the Block Education Officer formally informing the District Program Officer (Establishment) about the dismissals.

The Panchayat Secretaries from various Planning Units, including Mokhtiyarpur Salkhanni, Pand, Nagargama, and Kamraon, under the block, played a crucial role in exposing the fraudulent appointments. An FIR was lodged at the Dalsinghsarai police station after a thorough investigation revealed that the certificates presented by the appointed teachers were fake.

The action was prompted by the discovery of forged BTET certificates belonging to Panchayat teacher Ranjan Kumar at the primary school in Mokhtiyarpur Manika. Similarly, the certificate of Panchayat teacher Surendra Kumar Rai from Primary School Purwari Tola Panda, under Panchayat Planning Unit Panda, was found to be fake. Shockingly, Rai had been absent from his duties for nearly five years.

In another case, the BTET certificate of Akhileshwar Kumar, a teacher at the primary school in Vishwaspur Nagargama under Panchayat Planning Unit Nagargama, was declared fake. Additionally, Akhileshwar Kumar had submitted his resignation letter on April 4, citing personal reasons, which was subsequently approved by the Panchayat Secretary.

Further scrutiny exposed the fraudulent activities of Rajaram Mahato, a teacher at Mushari Tola Mahanaiya Primary School under Panchayat Planning Unit Kamrao. His matriculation mark sheet and certificate were confirmed to be fake.

Besides the booked teachers, unidentified individuals have also been named as accused in the FIR. The dismissals were executed based on the directives of the District Program Officer (Establishment).
