Festive Reverie Engulfs Bihar as Ayodhya Ram Temple Consecration Illuminates Celebrations
Patna: Bihar is basking in a jubilant atmosphere following the consecration of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya, with temples across the state adorned in resplendent lights. The Hanuman Temple and ISKCON Temple in Patna radiated with the glow of a thousand lamps, while the ISKCON temple dazzled with an impressive display of one lakh lamps. Concurrently, households joined the festivities, celebrating Diwali by illuminating their homes with lamps.
In the sacred enclave of Punaura Dham, the birthplace of Janaki, a grand program unfolded, drawing the participation of a multitude of devotees. Late into the evening, over 2 lakh devotees flocked to the Mahavir Temple in Patna, where a lamp festival adorned the temple premises. The scene echoed the historic celebration in Ayodhya when Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram returned after triumphing over Lanka, with the entire city illuminated by lamps.
The Mahavir Temple in Patna witnessed the radiance of 1100 lamps, lit by both temple authorities and devout worshippers. The fervor extended beyond the temple, as devotees across the region also kindled lamps in a collective celebration of the divine moment.
Beyond the capital, Shobha Yatras, marked by the spirited participation of lakhs of Ram devotees, traversed various districts, including Buxar, Samastipur, Madhepura, Bhagalpur, and Darbhanga. At the Dak Bungalow intersection in Patna, a grand event unfolded, graced by the presence of Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar and BJP state president Samrat Chaudhary, along with thousands of Ram devotees.
In the artistic realm, Chapra’s sand artist, Ashok, crafted an exquisite idol of Lord Ram using white sand along the banks of the river Saryu. The artwork drew crowds eager to witness this unique tribute.
Meanwhile, the Kamal Aarti illuminated Pokharam in Darbhanga, with the participation of Darbhanga MP Gopal Ji Thakur and a congregation of around 10 thousand fervent Ram devotees. The divine consecration of Lord Shri Ram has indeed ignited a widespread celebration, uniting communities across Bihar in joyous revelry.
