Former minister Tej Pratap Yadav has filed an FIR at Kadamkuan police station in Patna against a youth accused of impersonating him on WhatsApp by using his display picture to chat with others about family and political matters, thereby tarnishing his image.

Patna: A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered at Kadamkuan police station against a youth accused of impersonating former minister Tej Pratap Yadav on WhatsApp. The complaint was lodged by Tej Pratap Yadav himself, targeting a resident of Amruddi Gali in Kadamkuan.

Tej Pratap Yadav alleges that the accused youth has been using his display picture (DP) on an unauthorized WhatsApp number to chat with other individuals. He claims that the accused is copying his identity to discuss personal family matters and political affairs with people, all while falsely presenting himself as being close to Tej Pratap. The former minister stated in the FIR that these actions are severely tarnishing his public image.

Following the registration of the case, police have initiated an investigation into the matter. The accused youth is expected to be questioned soon. Authorities have indicated that they will leverage technology to aid in the investigation.

Tej Pratap Yadav has provided the police with both the mobile number of the accused youth and his father, both of which will be subjected to scrutiny as part of the ongoing inquiry.
