Muzaffarpur: Two homes were completely gutted in a fire that broke out in the Bazaar Tola area of Paru village under Muzaffarpur district on June 18. The fire is believed to have started due to an electrical short circuit.
The houses belonged to residents Elfaz and Abbas. According to eyewitnesses, the fire spread rapidly, and by the time local villagers could respond, both houses were already engulfed in flames.
The fire brigade arrived after being alerted and managed to control the blaze. Police station in-charge Monu Kumar confirmed that the situation had been brought under control.
Preliminary estimates place the property loss at around Rs 5,00,000. Fortunately, no casualties were reported. The affected families have appealed for immediate relief and assistance.
