First Picture of Team Modi: Eight Ministers from Bihar
New Delhi: Narendra Modi is set to take the oath as Prime Minister for a third term today. Ahead of the ceremony, Modi convened a meeting with potential ministers at his official residence, 7 Lok Kalyan Marg. Invitations were extended by phone, summoning the attendees for tea. The first image of this meeting has now emerged.
Among the attendees were eight MPs from Bihar, who are anticipated to become ministers. The list includes Chirag Paswan from LJP (Ram Vilas), Ramnath Thakur and Lalan Singh from JD(U), Jitan Ram Manjhi of HAM (S), and BJP’s Nityanand Rai, Satish Chandra Dubey, Giriraj Singh, and Raj Bhushan Chaudhary. Notably, Lalan Singh and Jitan Ram Manjhi were seen seated together in the front row, further fueling speculation about their imminent ministerial appointments.
In anticipation of the swearing-in ceremony, BJP workers in Patna celebrated with fireworks.
Earlier, Jitan Ram Manjhi was besieged by the media while on his way to Amit Shah’s residence. After repeatedly asking the media to step aside to no avail, Manjhi remarked that they would only move “after a fight.”
Ramnath Thakur revealed that he received a call from JP Nadda, followed by an official invitation letter. When asked by the media about the contents of the letter, he noted it was written in English.
Meanwhile, CM Nitish Kumar arrived at the JD(U) office in Delhi, where he met with party workers.
