Patna: A major fire broke out on Friday evening at a OnePlus showroom housed in the Kaushalya State Apartment complex in central Patna’s Bandar Baghicha area, under the Kotwali police station limits. The blaze, which erupted on the ground floor, triggered panic among staff and nearby shopkeepers, but swift intervention by the fire department averted any casualties.

Eyewitnesses reported that the fire spread rapidly through the showroom, which was stocked with smartphones, laptops and other electronic gadgets. Staff members inside the store noticed the fire early and immediately alerted the fire control room. Within minutes, 10 fire engines were dispatched to the site. Firefighters battled the flames for hours and eventually managed to bring the situation under control.

Despite their efforts, the showroom was completely gutted. “The fire caused extensive damage to all the electronic goods. Everything inside was reduced to ashes,” said Ajit Kumar, a senior fire officer at the scene. Preliminary reports suggest that an electrical short circuit may have triggered the blaze, though a detailed technical investigation is underway.

The affected showroom has since been sealed by authorities. Teams from the local administration and the electricity department have launched parallel investigations to determine the exact cause and assess the scale of damage. While the financial loss is yet to be officially calculated, officials confirmed that no one was injured.
