Former IPS Officer Shivdeep Lande’s Cryptic Post Sparks Speculation: “Time to Meet the Atmosphere of Bihar”
Patna: Shivdeep Lande, the former Bihar cadre IPS officer, has dominated headlines since his resignation from his post earlier this year. The officer, known for his distinguished career, posted a poignant image of his uniform on social media, reflecting on his years of service and hinting at his next chapter.
In a tweet on X, Lande shared, “Uniform is the dream of a young mind, but after such continuous and dedicated service, the skin itself becomes the uniform. The time has come to move beyond the job and meet the atmosphere of Bihar. One episode of the story is over, the other begins.”
The post has triggered a wave of reactions from social media users, with many speculating about Lande’s future. One user questioned, “Do you want to join PK?” referring to political strategist Prashant Kishore, while another suggested, “Bihar needs you, you should become a minister.”
Lande’s resignation, accepted by the Bihar government on February 29, marked the end of his tenure as IG in Purnia. His resignation, originally submitted on September 19, 2024, was finally approved by President Draupadi Murmu on January 13, 2025, with the Home Department issuing an official notification the following evening.
While the details of Lande’s next move remain unclear, his post hints at a significant shift, leaving many to speculate about his future role in the political or social landscape of Bihar.
