Girls Shine in Bihar Matric Exam as Two Secure Top Ranks

Patna : Girls have once again excelled in Bihar’s academic sphere, with two securing positions among the top three in the state’s matriculation examination. The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) announced the results on Saturday, with Education Minister Sunil Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary of the Education Department S. Siddharth, and BSEB President Anand Kishore releasing the results at noon.
A total of 82.11% of students passed the exam this year, and two girls—Sakshi Kumari and Anshu Kumari—stood out with impressive performances. Both secured joint top positions alongside Ranjan Verma, each scoring 489 marks, equivalent to 97.80%.
Meet the Toppers
Sakshi Kumari hails from Samastipur and is a student at JPN High School Naharan. Her exceptional performance, with 489 marks out of 500, earned her a place at the top of the merit list.
Anshu Kumari, from Bettiah in West Champaran district, shares the top position. She is a student of Bharatiya Inter College Gahiri, Nautan, and matched Sakshi’s score, demonstrating equal academic brilliance.
A Shared Triumph
Joining Sakshi and Anshu at the top is Ranjan Verma from Bhojpur, who also scored 489 marks. The trio’s success underscores a trend of academic excellence in Bihar’s matriculation examinations, where girls have consistently performed on par with, if not better than, their male counterparts.
