Patna: Gold prices in Patna saw a modest decline on Tuesday, May 20, offering a slight reprieve to buyers during the ongoing wedding season. The rate for 22-carat gold stood at Rs 87,150 per 10 grams, down Rs 450 from the previous day, while 24-carat gold was priced at Rs 95,070 per 10 grams, a decrease of Rs 490 .
Despite the dip, local jewellers report sustained customer interest. “The wedding season continues to drive strong demand, even as prices fluctuate,” said a jeweller from Patna’s Hathwa Market.
Analysts attribute the price movement to global market corrections and a stable currency environment. However, they caution that international factors, such as interest rate changes and geopolitical tensions, could influence future pricing.
Buyers are advised to monitor daily rates and ensure purchases are of certified, hallmarked gold to guarantee purity and value.
