Gold Rush in Patna: 24-Carat Prices Climb to Rs 9,556 Per Gram Amid Global Uncertainty

Patna :  Gold prices in Patna continued their upward trajectory on Friday, with 24-carat gold priced at Rs 9,556 per gram. The rate for 22-carat gold stood at Rs 8,760 per gram, while 18-carat gold — often referred to as 999 gold — was priced at Rs 7,168 per gram.

This surge in prices comes amid rising global demand and escalating geopolitical tensions, factors that traditionally prompt investors to turn to gold as a safe-haven asset. Patna, the capital of Bihar and a prominent gold market in eastern India, has witnessed a steady uptick in consumer interest.

Jewellers across the city reported a consistent flow of customers ahead of the wedding and festive season, a peak period for gold purchases. “There has been a visible increase in customer inquiries and bookings, especially for 22-carat jewellery,” said a local gold trader.

Financial experts are advising potential buyers to keep a close watch on live gold prices, as rates continue to fluctuate daily. Key factors influencing the retail price include international bullion rates, the strength of the Indian rupee, and local taxes.

With market volatility expected to persist, analysts suggest that gold prices may rise further in the coming weeks. Consumers in Patna are encouraged to make informed buying decisions to ensure the best return on their investment.
