“Governor Arlekar: Zero Tolerance for Delayed Exam Results
Patna: Governor-cum-Chancellor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar convened a meeting with the Vice Chancellors of universities in Bihar on Tuesday, setting the stage for discussions on various critical academic and administrative matters. The meeting encompassed a wide range of issues, including the long-pending results of graduation and post-graduation examinations, the efficient distribution of certificates, the resolution of retirement benefits, and the progress of academic courses based on the Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS) and semester system.
Governor Arlekar made it clear during the meeting that any delay would not be tolerated. This emphasis on punctuality underscores the commitment to ensuring that students’ academic journeys remain uninterrupted.
In a significant announcement, Governor Arlekar directed the reinstatement of the inter-university cultural program, ‘Tarang,’ and the inter-university sports program, ‘Eklavya.’ These programs had been temporarily discontinued due to the ongoing challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, and their revival is expected to inject a renewed sense of vigour into the state’s academic and cultural landscape.
During the proceedings, the Governor commended the proactive approach of Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University in addressing student concerns by organizing the ‘Chhatra Darbar,’ an initiative designed to facilitate dialogue and resolve issues effectively.
The meeting presided over by Governor Arlekar, featured the active participation of Principal Secretary Robert L. Chongthu, Vice Chancellors from various universities across Bihar, and officials from the Governor’s Secretariat.
